Sunday 1st August - Walk from the Lee
This is a five mile walk with a surprise on every turn, from the rustic church hidden behind the new, to the aggressive glare of Admiral Howe's head appearing over a hedge from Pednor House whose courtyard straddles the road to Chesham, to the tiny St Mary's church which appears in someone's front garden! To get there from Amersham take the A413 towards Aylesbury, go round the Great Missenden on the bypass, carry on over the two roundabouts and after approximately half a mile turn right into Leather Lane, signposted to the Lee, then turn left at the T junction on top of the hill. The road passes along an avenue on trees with a sharp right and then left turn before reaching the Cock and Rabbit Pub, turn left in front of it and park round the green or by the church. Meet at 10.45 for a prompt 11am start. If you would like to meet the walkers for lunch only, please contact the walk leader for details.
Saturday 7th August - Liaisons Disco at the Barn Club
The Barn Club is at Marlow Bottom. Meet at 8 pm, dance till late. Food and Bar at reasonable prices (food until 8.30 pm). It is important that this event be supported if we are to retain it as regular feature in the in the programme.
Entrance to the club for members of Liaisons is free, but guests will need to sign in.
Saturday 7th August - Hog Roast House Party
Another great Hog Roast party at Keith's House, which will begin at 7.00pm. This was a very successful event last summer so book in with Sue and pay at the desk on Tuesdays or send a cheque to the Treasurer (with name and date of event). The cost is £10.00 per person (including puddings!) - please bring your own drinks. For anyone who has a dietary requirement, please contact Sue asap to discuss. Sunday 8th August - Walk from Chalfont St Giles
This is a walk of approximately five miles taking in the village of Horn Hill. To get there from junction two of the M40, take the A355 towards Beaconsfield, then at the first roundabout take the second exit (A40) and follow the signs to Gerrards Cross, after about one mile, turn left (signposted Jordans) and follow the signs to Chalfont St. Giles. Alternatively the village is off the main A413 Amersham to Denham road; (about three miles east of Amersham). Meet in the public car park opposite the Merlins Cave public house at 10.45 for a prompt 11am start.

Sunday 15th August - Walk From Wheeler End
This is a hilly walk of approx five miles from Wheeler End Common viewing Adams Park, West Wycombe and returning through Janes Wood. We will meet outside The Brickmakers Arms on Wheeler End Common. To get there from Wycombe take the A40 Oxford Road past West Wycombe to The Dashwood Arms in Piddington and turn left into Chipps Hill this leads into Bolter End Lane the pub is on the right. From Marlow take the B482 past Lane End and turn right at The Peacock into Bolter End Lane, the pub is on the left after going under the motorway. Please park on the road on the Piddington side of the pub. We will meet at 10.45 for a prompt 11.00 start.

Sunday 22nd August - Walk from Dorney
Join us for a flat walk of about five miles taking in two miles of the Thames, part of the Jubilee River a glimpse of Dorney Rowing Lake, which will be used for the 2012 Olympics and views of Windsor Castle. We meet at the' Walled Garden Centre' off Court Lane, Dorney. This Garden Centre has an excellent restaurant which sells nice lunches and offers beer or wine as well as the usual soft drinks and beverages. There is an outside eating area if the weather is kind. It is open at 10.00 am so walkers can have a coffee/comfort break before the walk if they wish, as well as a chance to look around the shop. I recommend taking home one of the home made Victoria Sponges for tea!!. To get there go along the A4 between Maidenhead and Taplow until you get to Sainsburys by the roundabout. Go down Lake End Road towards Dorney/Eton crossing over the M4 and past the pub. Court Lane is a right hand turn as the road veers left. Then turn left almost immediately and go past Dorney Court and into the free car park by the Garden Centre. Arrive at 10.45 for a prompt 11.00am start.
Sunday 29th August - Walk from Crazies Hill (Rebecca's Well).
This is mainly a flat walk of approx 4.5 miles through farm and woodland between the villages of Crazies Hill and Wargrave. At the beginning of the walk we pass Rebecca's Well (the spring that supplied the Hamlet) and Crazies Hall, Henleys former Town Hall that was taken down and re-erected here in 1879. To get there from the southbound A404 (M) from High Wycombe or Maidenhead, take the A4 towards Reading. On reaching the village sign for Knowl Hill, turn right into Warren Row Road signposted Warren Row and Cockpole Green. After about 1.75 miles (passing through Warren Row) turn left at the cross roads signposted Crazies Hill and Wargrave. After 300 yards turn right signposted Crazies Hill/Cockpole Green/Remenham Hill. After another 300 yards turn left signposted Crazies Hill/Wargrave and park outside Crazies Hill Primary School a further 300 yards up on the right. Meet at 10.45 for a prompt 11.00 start.

Monday 30th August Bank Holiday - Quiz Walk at Windsor
Discover the backwaters, parks and history of beautiful Windsor on this fun Quiz Walk. Follow the clues and answer the questions as you walk all leading you to a mystery hostelry for a drink and/or lunch, with correct answers and small prizes for the winning team. Meet at 10.45 in the Alma Road car park Windsor. (Take the A308 to Windsor, the Maidenhead Road becomes Arthur Road and just before the big King Edward Court roundabout, turn into Alma Road.) I'll be the one holding up the big stripped umbrella. Teams fixed on the day and cost £3.00 each for the prizes. Give me a call to book or just turn up and pay me on the day.
