Walk from Hurley Village

A 5 mile walk with one gradual climb taking in the River Thames before climbing a gentle hill to take in some superb views near the end of the walk .

Please note there is a steep descent near the conclusion of the walk that needs some care.

We meet in Hurley High Street opposite the Rising Sun pub at 10:45 for a prompt 11:00am start.

Casino Night at the Bull Hotel, Gerrards Cross

Singles club Company are having a Casino Night at the Bull Hotel, Gerrards Cross and would like to invite Liaisons members to join them.

Monte Carlo or Bust, Casino Night at the Bull Hotel is a black tie event.

Guests arrive at 7:00pm to be seated by 7:45pm for a hot buffet dinner and dessert followed by Gaming Tables, chips provided.

Walk from Medmenham

Just one hill on this 4½ mile walk that promises fine views over Hambledon valley, taking in Rotten Row and the Thames and finishes back up Ferry Lane.

Directions: Take A4155 from Marlow to Henley upon reaching Medmenham turn left down Ferry Lane, just before the Dog and Badger pub, park at top end by the church.

Meet at 10:45 for a prompt 11am start.

Walk from Littleworth Common

A walk of approx 5 miles around Burnham Beeches nature reserve, we meet at The Blackwood Arms.

From High Wycombe take the A40 towards Beaconsfield, then follow the signs for Odds Farm, as you pass Odds Farm keep on the Wooburn Common Road, until you come to Dropmore School, turn left onto Littleworth Road, then first right onto Dorney Wood Road, continue for 800metres then turn left onto Common Lane, car park on left.

Ascot Races by Coach from the Crooked Billet

Bill and Anita Green landlords of the Crooked Billet have invited Liaisons members to join them on their trip to Ascot Races.

A coach will take us to Ascot at 10:15am and return after the last race, arriving back at approx 7:30pm.

The cost will be approximately £55 which includes coach travel and entrance to the Premier Enclosure.

There are restaurants and bars in the grounds.

Bar meals can be purchased at the Crooked Billet on our return.

The evening entertainment will be provided by LAZY DAYS on the patio, so lets boogie at the Billet.

Dress Code: Gentlemen are required to wear jackets and ties in the enclosure, whilst for ladies hats are not compulsory but recommended for the day.

A Tribute to Django and Stephane, The Swing Era at Norden Farm

The music of guitar and violin virtuosi Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli played by two of this country's finest exponents of the style.

Expect to be flown back in time to the dance halls of the 1940s. Ben (violin, vocals) and Stuart (gypsy guitar) are both members of Gypsy Fire. Cost £13.

Group visit to the Maidenhead Mosque.

I am delighted to have been able to arrange for Liaisons members to visit the Mosque at Maidenhead; I would like a good turnout from members to enjoy this opportunity to learn a little bit more about Islam.

We will start our tour at 2.30pm so I would suggest that we all meet outside the Mosque at 2.15pm ready to go.

River Cruise to Windsor from Maidenhead

Kay and Angela invite you for a day messing about on the river.

We depart from Maidenhead at 11:00am, arrive in Windsor at 12:30, depart Windsor at 15:45 and arrive back in Maidenhead at 17:15pm. Afternoon tea available.

We have negotiated a group rate of £15.70pp for the cruise providing we have a minimum of 20 people, please pay at desk. plus £7.40pp for afternoon tea on board.

Suggest bringing a picnic lunch in Windsor or have a lunch out.

Charity Quiz Night in aid of MS Research at Marlow Legion
Please come along to the 3rd annual quiz in aid of this very worthy charity .

Your host and Quizmaster will be Pete Oxbrow aided as ever by his able helpers Mandy and Marie.

Good quizzing not essential but the ability to have a fun night is.

Last year 100 people came along and the night raised £1000.

This is open to everyone so either bring your own team of friends/relatives or just put your name down and you will be in a Liaisons Team.

No more than 8 to a team please.
