Walk on New Years Day from Wycombe Marsh

Get rid of those New Year cobwebs and get 2019 off to a healthy start with a walk from Wycombe Marsh to the Rye Park taking in a hill walk through Warren Wood.

We meet in the car park by the netball courts at Kingsmead High Wycombe behind the George V pub just off the A40.

This is an approx 5 mile walk with some undulation.

Directions from Amersham, take the A413 towards Wendover, after 3 miles turn left at the 2nd of 2 roundabouts onto the A4128 Link Road. There is a car park 300yds down on the right hand side.

National Gallery Impressionist Exhibition & Lunch

Walk from Flackwell Heath

An undulating 5 mile walk, passing Pigeon House Farm and through Bloom Wood.

We meet behind Budgens, to get there from Marlow / Bourne End turn up Sheepridge Lane past The Crooked Billet to T junction, turn right, then straight over the mini roundabout at village centre, after 100yds turn right into Old Kiln Rd (beside Budgens), then right again.

Meet at 10:45 for a prompt 11:00 am start.

Kay's Birthday Barn Dance at Stokenchurch

All are all invited to celebrate Kay's official retirement birthday at a hoe down at Longburrow Hall, Stokenchurch.

Dig out those check shirts, cowboy boots and hats for a fun night.

There will be live music and a caller no dance experience necessary.

Prizes for the best dressed cowgirl and cowboy!

A buffet supper will be provided so just bring along your drinks and glasses. 7.30 for 8.00pm.

Directions to Longburrow Hall, Park Lane, Stokenchurch leave the A40 just before the Kings Hotel on the village green and take Church Street down to the 'Royal Oak public house.

Park Lane is the road immediately adjacent to the pub. Longburrow is on the left just beyond Briarswood Close.

There is plenty of parking by the Hall. Yeeee haaaaa !!!

The Harte & Magpies (formerly The Mulberry Bush) is located on the main A355 Beaconsfield to Amersham road.

Parking is diagonally opposite the pub in a half moon slip road (please park to one side of the road).

Adult Panto at the Swan

Wycombe Swan are again performing an Adult Panto at 7:30 pm on, entitled Hansel and Gretel go down in the Woods and ticket price will be about £20.00 each. The actors have once again taken a traditional fairy story and corrupted it beyond belief - packing it with corny jokes, raunchy plots and blatant sexual innuendo. With a minimum of set, props and costume the fearless company of 3 will take on the traditional and not so traditional characters to keep you entertained and prolong the seasonal spirit.

See 'Elvis' 'Jerry Lee Lewis' 'Johnny Cast' 'Carl Perkins' and 'Roy Orbison' perform in a live music show on a set that is a replica of the legendary Memphis Studios featuring the musical instruments of the era and a host of hits; go back to the birthplace of Rock and Roll where it all started.

Pantomime for Grown Ups at Brick Lane Music Hall

The Mousetrap at the Swan
